The Veritas High Performance ABCD

This week I received an amazing message from a client that I have been working with on his transition from professional sport into the corporate world. This message showcases for me the #elitemindset and how the Veritas High Performance ABCD can be used to great effect:

#ambition - having already achieved so much, with 15 years as a professional athlete representing his country, he is still getting after it. No time for complacency - he is always reviewing where he is now and what he needs to do to get to the next milestone. #constantpursuitofexcellence

#bravery - having the conviction to step outside of his comfort zone and try something new. This is a self generated aim in a new remit that he has the bravery and tenacity to pursue relentlessly.

#curiosity - he asked if our work together has been “helpful” for me, which is a question I am rarely asked. This service mindset is where I believe we all can find fulfillment. A little bit more hashtag#utilitarianism would make the world a much kinder place.

#determination - unambiguously stating what he wants and having the tenacity and determination to go after it. This is a man who has a track record of success both academically and professionally. Wherever he sets his sights and decides to go next will be extraordinarily lucky to have him.

Knowing this client as I do, I don’t believe that it was our work in isolation that has shaped this approach. These qualities were already within him, but by using the Veritas High Performance framework he now has a clearer way to set out his goals and align his vision with congruence to manifest continued success.

I am so very lucky to work with clients who are already at the top of thier game. Marginal gains matter the most at this level and that’s where I can add value.
